Here are a few of the recent settlements and verdicts we have achieved for our clients.
- A Milford woman settles her case and accepts a $ 2,150,000 (Two Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollar) settlement for low back and stomach complications following a slip and fall on ice at a retail store in Flemington, New Jersey. The case settled following lengthy negotiations just prior to the start of trial.
- A Stockton man settles his case against a tractor trailer company for $1,000,000 (One Million Dollars). This was an automobile crash where Mr. Murgatroyd's client was injured by a tractor-trailer while traveling on Route 31 in Clinton. He suffered serious injuries to his vertebrae requiring a laminectomy, fusions and insertions of rods.
- This was an automobile crash in which Mr. Murgatroyd's client suffered severe personal injuries. Although he appeared to have made an excellent recovery, he suffered cognitive impairments due to post traumatic stress disorder. The case ultimately settled with a recovery of $737,000.
- A Washington woman received a verdict for $368,000 for leg fractures suffered in a slip and fall on ice. Mr. Murgatroyd tried the case in Warren County.
- A Clinton woman settled her case before trial for $350,000 for post traumatic stress disorder. This was an automobile crash Mr. Murgatroyd handled that was heavily contested since there was minimal vehicle damage and because it took a year before the diagnosis of post traumatic stress disorder and there was little evidence of physical injuries.
- A New York man injured at a casino in Atlantic City received $350,000 for permanent foot injuries suffered in a fall from a chair. This was a heavily contested case due to the fact that there were no signs of the foot condition until two and one half months after the fall and the condition could have been caused in ways other than trauma. The case was tried and then retried in Atlantic City. It settled before verdict.
- A Flemington woman settled her automobile crash for $268,000. Mr. Murgatroyd's client woman suffered back injuries as well as knee injuries which required two surgeries.
- A Port Murray woman received $240,000 for ankle and wrist fractures suffered in a car wreck in Morris County, New Jersey.
